Govt puts decision to ban solo trekking on hold
Govt puts decision to ban solo trekking on hold The government has decided to put the decision to ban solo trekking in Nepal on hold until further notice.

Issuing a notice to concerned stakeholders on August 17, the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation (MoCTCA) said it was holding discussions with stakeholders toward making trekking in Nepal safe and ensuring security of trekkers. “We will reach to a conclusion on the issue very soon,” the notice states.

Earlier, the home ministry had decided to ban solo trekking in Nepal after some trekkers, who were traveling solo, went missing.
