 Nepal is one of the under developed countries in the world because of its difficult geographical distribution, limited access to development, inadequate resources and overall lack of awareness amongst the people. So, it is a pleasure of Encounters Nepal to announce that 5% of total profit of our agency will be donated to a charity that works for environmental protection, disabled people, war victimized children, education and health. Being an eco-tourism service provider travel/trekking agency, we want to preserve our environment by reducing more plastics from our clients who are on their tour in Nepal's various mountains. We supply them safe and purified water instead of bottled water. We send our Guides to training programs and eco-workshops throughout Nepal, which makes them to understand about importance of environment. Thus, we are giving some kind of awareness messages in the conservation of natural resources to the local people through where our Guides pass by. A simple example is they can ask people to reduce cutting down of trees for fuel but use kerosene or solar system. This is a kind of charity we are doing to reduce the impact to the environment from our clients. We have an association with KEEP (Kathmandu Environmental Educational Project) for such works. At the same time, we felt we should support the other areas too in the field of education and health. We give this charity to local organizations that are working on these fields. We would like to tell you that we are supporting a school in Upper Mustang, the remote Himalayan region. If you have interests, we have numerous children who need a sponsor in the different regions of Nepal. Their family has no income to pay for their education. And we don't have free and compulsory education at all. A great person can be expected from your small contribution to a child.

A 5% of our profit is separated for charity development. This charity is donated to the local organizations every year during our annual celebration.
